Good Naked (Brooklyn NY) is pleased to present its seventeenth exhibition Animal Farm, opening May 15 from 3-5pm and running through June 20, 2021.

Jacob Jackmauh and Rachel Jackson construct objects that touch fable and function.  Their textured forms appear malleable and fixed and encourage imagined response.  Their works provoke play and we invite you to come explore.

My brother would often tell me that it’s impossible to know anyone because we hardly know ourselves. I suspect the advice comes from ancient Greek wisdom or aphorisms. Nevertheless, it always made me feel a little bit better when I was frustrated with a friend, lover, or the political environment. The world is just so big.

I wonder, who among us might affect change—real change. We hope for societies where the animal planet can be equal, free, and happy, but who is ready for it?  Who is game to give up what little we feel we have for our brothers, sisters, and gender non-conforming kin?

Animal Farm reminds us that we are all doing our best to play on this magnificent pasture. We wrestle, we get along, we love, we make art.  Art is a tool to affect change and encourage empathy and this is something worth fighting for.

Animal Farm will open in collaboration with P.A.D. at NADA House, Governors Island and will be on view by appointment for the remainder of the exhibition.
