“I had gone through a dreamy epoch I had forgotten except for one fragment — sliding down a mountain as a band of wild people awaited below with clubs, spears, poles, and axes. They half shouted, half changed a melody, a remnant of which still lingered in my ears — a dirge of passion and madness… Everything would end in catastrophe. Then why not enjoy the moment? Sleep had calmed me somewhat, but now tension returned… Yes, I had to find pleasure before I died and returned to nothing.” — Shosha, Isaac Bashevis Singer

Dog Park is an exhibition in parts organized by ten artist-curators. Jaqueline Cedar, William Chan, Enrico Gomez, Amanda Nedham, Keisha Prioleau-Martin, Kris Rac, Jacob Rhodes, Angela Simione, Janice Sloane, and April Zhu will all present installations hosted by petty cash. The seeds of this project are found in a self-sufficient culture that dreams of horizontal organization where labor is shared.
Installations will be on view during Bushwick Open Studios and by appointment at petty cash thereafter.
