Good Naked (Brooklyn NY) is pleased to present VULTURE CULTURE, a 3 - person exhibition opening Friday, November 8th from 6-8pm.

The artists in this exhibition circle familiar forms, pulling and parsing raw material. For Drew Miller, renderings are processed into a "visual vegetation pile: as..."amorphous silhouettes and abstracted icons" develop via misrepresentation, trace memories, and surprise.  Peter Scherrer gathers lyrical symbolism while immersed in nature.  His undulating repetitive marks weave color and image, building atmosphere and a sense of time as quiet moments await the introduction of movement and play.  Kari Cholnoky's sculptures veer toward a universe of unknown proportions.  Her materials feel at once scavenged and emergent as they suggest growth, decay, transformation, and repopulation.

For all 3 artists new images supersede their origins leaving behind the faint memory of references estranged in the aftermath of culling, and reshuffled in the wake of discovery.

VULTURE CULTURE will be on view
November 8 - December 15, 2024

The exhibition is open by appointment
